A urea mixture (AdBlue®) is injected into the exhaust system to comply with the highest emissions standards. To ensure that it functions correctly the urea injection system must be checked in the event of faults and at certain service intervals. The specified target values should be checked using mechanical pressure and flow measurements plus AdBlue® quality checks. The oil test paper supplied allows mineral oils in the AdBlue® to be identified clearly (e.g. in the event of incorrect fuelling). Checking the urea concentration using a refractometer is also recommended.
